HISTORY MADE: PHINEHAS SUN CAPTURES 1DP CHAMPIONSHIP IN ORLANDO  

New Champion Crowned Via Disqualification After Controversial Finish

ORLANDO, FL – Last Saturday night, the landscape of independent wrestling changed forever as Phinehas Sun defeated Rochie Roach to become the new One Division Pro Champion.

In an intensely aggressive contest emanating from Orlando, Florida, reigning champion Rochie Roach controlled the majority of the bout with a dominant offensive showcase. The tide shifted when challenger Phinehas Sun introduced a steel chair into the match. 

The maneuver proved decisive. Roach seized the weapon from Sun and, in full view of the official, struck Sun with the chair. The referee immediately called for a disqualification.

Per 1DP Championship regulations, the title can change hands via direct disqualification. With the ruling, Phinehas Sun was declared the winner and new 1DP Champion.

The controversial finish has already sparked debate across the independent scene. Many spectators are questioning whether Sun’s use of the chair was a calculated strategy, anticipating that Roach would be unable to resist using the weapon himself. 

Regardless of intent, the result stands. Phinehas Sun is now the 1DP Champion and, as some are already claiming, the most important figure in the indies today.

1DP Management has not yet commented on a potential rematch clause for former champion Rochie Roach.
